DIY Nail Art
FoxBox teamed up with Woolworths to bring to you an easy 6 step DIY nail art tutorial.
This is the best way to keep your winter mani looking fresh and fabulous!
This is one of the hottest trends at FoxBox this winter! For this DIY mani, you will need the following tools:
- Morgan Taylor Top & Base coats
- A nipper
- a pair of scissors
- Morgan Taylor Black polish "Little Black Dress"
- Morgan Taylor : Nude polish "Tan My Hide"
- A buffer and a nail file (of coarse)
- A pusher for your cuticles
- Some scotch tape
- Last but not least : a steady hand!
Step 1: Start by prepping your nails. This includes; cutting your cuticles (if you are feeling brave), pushing them back a bit and filing your nails to the perfect shape. For this style, doing a square tip works best.
Step 2: To protect your nails and make your colour last that much longer, always apply a base coat:) As the name suggests - it sets a good base for the rest of your mani!
Step 3: Apply the amazing and ever so popular Morgan Taylor "Tan My Hide". This colour is a stunning nude and is one of our favourite shades this winter. It goes with any look and is a great way to lighten up your winter wardrobe. As its a fairly light colour, make sure you apply 2 layers to make it look extra full and glossy.
Step 4: Make sure you give your polish sufficient time to dry properly before going ahead with the next step. No one likes a smudged nail!
Cut your tape and place on the end of your nail. The tape will leave the edges of your nails exposed which is where you will apply the black polish to get that fancy finish.
Step 5: Paint the corners of your nails with the Morgan Taylor black polish "Little Black Dress", and then carefully remove the tape.
Step 6: Once you have removed your tape and admired the beauty that is your amazing nail art, wait for the black polish to dry and then apply your top coat. This will seal in the colours and give it that perfect FoxBox finish!
Its as easy as that! Well done, you have successfully achieved fancy DIY nails:)
