Our Foxers have magical powers when it comes to the art of mani's and pedi's! Their amazing skills inspired me to test my own skills and put myself in the shoes of a Foxer to see what it's really like on the other side of the mani table.
Some brush off painting nails as something that's simple and relatively easy... However, I know I used to sit for HOURS trying to perfect my right hand as I wobbled and shook whilst trying to paint with my non-dominant left hand.
When I sat down to paint my own nails for the first time in ages, I thought that these amazing skills that our Foxers have would automatically have been passed on to me through the powers that be. This was not the case. A few hours later as I examined my work, I had a very humbling realisation that I was in fact rather unskilled in this department. Simply because I am constantly surrounded by the skill and talent that exists in the field of beauty, does not mean to say that I too possess such skills.
I thought it would be an interesting experiment to try my hand (literally) at painting my own nails for an event. I will give credit where it is due and I have got to pat myself on the back for my left hand, she looked amazing! However, my poor little right hand was not so fortunate. Not only did my right hand take far longer to paint, but I also had to painstaikingly try to clean up the mess that I had made (all over my fingers). Needless to say, I am no expert.
A day in the life of a Foxer was not at all that I had anticipated and certainly made me appreciate our Foxers' incredible skill, timeliness as well as attention to detail. Our brilliant Foxers make it look so easy! I understand that painting your own nails is not the same as painting someone else's, but lets face it, after the job I did on myself not many would be queing up for me to give them a quick polish.
This is a tribute to our amazing team of Foxers who are gifted in their craft and who always go the extra mile to keep our customers feeling perfectly polished and feeling fabulous. We appreciate you all!
Yours in perfectly polished nails
